You could recall that Liverpool lost to Manchester city in the Premier League at the start of 2019, making the first defeat of the campaign.

The reds also lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup on monday night.

However the players bounced back to winning ways five days later in the Premier League beating Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.

Liverpool have only lost once in the 23 Premier League games they’ve played this season which has placed their defence as the strongest in the Premier League.

The reds also faced a scare during a thrilling encounter against Crystal Palace at Anfield but came out victors at the end.

While speaking to Premier League Productions, Georginio Wijnaldum said:

You always learn from a defeat, even more than when you win games because when you win, you don’t see everything you did wrong.

“When you lose games you analyse them more than when you win. Of course we learned. Every team learns when they lose a game.

Wijnaldum said he learnt to be confident in always.

He further stated that Jurgen Klopp advised his players to move on from setbacks and work harder.
