Bundesliga: Werder Brem 3-1 Fortuna Dusseldorf, excellent bremen take charge

SV Werder Bremen produced a fine performance to see off struggling Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Dusseldorf started the game with some questionable tackles in the first minute and Robin Bormuth was booked. The first real chance of the game came as Claudio Pizarro’s effort was missed. Max cruised crossed the box into the Dusseldorf box only for Pizarro to miss the fine header.

Werder kept on knocking on the door when Milot Rashica right footed shot was saved by the Dusseldorf goalkeeper from just outside the box.

Dusseldorf also came close to their opening goal but was denied.

Bremen continued their dominance untill they where rewarded with a 21′ minute goal by Kevin Möhwald.

Fortuna Dusseldorf however got a penalty in the 43rd minute which was easily converted by Dodi Lukebakio

SV Werder bremen further increased their tally to three goals when Joshua Sargent scored home from a very close range header.
