Mexico Liga MX: Queretaro lose to Cruz Azul

The 2018/19 Mexican Liga MX Apertura started with a win boost for Cruz Azul as they cruised to a comfortable 0-2 away win over Queretaro.

The visitors started the game with a 16 MIN first goal by Pablo Aguilar taking everyone by surprise, although the host did look promising as the game progressed further, however the visitors never looked like they where ready to give up as they where further rewarded with a 60 (MIN) sublime goal by Edgar Méndez with an assist from Elías Hernández.

The visitors then held on to their win as they wait for Queretaro for the second leg at home. The win at Queretaro has given Cruz Azul one step closer to the 2018/19 Liga MX Apertura semi finals. Cruz Azul will hope to win the next game although a draw will be enough to put them in the semi finals.

Cruz Azul, under their Portuguese manager has further proved to become a force to reckon with in the Liga MX this season with an impressive Regular season performance.

The club finished at the top of the Apertura Regular season with a total of 36 points followed by America 33 points.

Cruz Azul will hope to move from their emphatic away victory, the win at Queretaro has given a huge boost to Cruz Azul to further suprise the rest this season.
