Europa League: Rosenborg 0-1 Celtic. Scottish champions shine past Norwegians

Scottish giants Celtic FC outshines poor Norwegian side Rosenborg to keep thier hopes alive for qualifying for the knockout stages of the Europa League. Celtic was never impressive throughout the tournament with strings of poor results right from the start of the group phase of the competition.

Celtic got the lone goal courtsey of Sinclair’s effort which was assisted Forrest. The champions could only manage the lone goal till the end of the match.

The scottish side dominated the second half with 60% compared to Rosenborg’s 40% ball possesion. The scottish champions however did looked like they where ready for some thing special but could’nt break the backline of Rosenborg to score as much as they could score. The slim win only ensured that Celtic will surely hang on till the last matchday in order to confirm their status in the group phase.

At the top of the table, salzburg continue their dominance as they easily cruized into the knockout phase of the competition.
