HuaweI Technologies Begins Marine Survey On It’s Marine Megacable Project.

Huawei technologies today announced that the survey on its Marine Megacable Project is already in progress, a project for Topolobambo – La Paz.
The project is the laying of a super under water submarine cable that will ensure more stability in communication for the city of Lapaz in Mexico.

Lapaz is considered as mexico’s second largest tourist destination for both mexican and foreigners. The successful completion of this project will mean a huge benefit for the city and brand authoriy for huawei, a submarine cable system aimed at reducing latency in communication.

La Paz is the capital city of BajaCalifornia Sur state in Mexican right on Peninsula of Baja California. The city is known for its seafront Malecón promenade with beaches, parks and art by Mexican and international artists. Right in the centre of city, a 19th century Nuestra Señora de La Paz Cathedral which dominates the shady Velasco Garden.

The city’s main communication connection to Mexico’s mainland follows the Peninsula’s terrestrial fiber system. The new submarine cable system will directly connect Lapaz to Topolobambo using a submaring cable accross the Gulf of California. The successful completion of this project will eliminate the issues of failing aerial optical cables and help to fastrack communication process, development in the region. The project is a 250km submarine cable system which has a capacity of 192Tb/s, and is expected to completed Q2 2019. Operation will commence as soon as the project is completed. Huawei technologies will use it Marine’s rich experience to ensure a steady and smooth delivery of the project.
