A 16 Years Old Boy Hacks Apple Inc.
A 16 years old boy from Australia has pleaded guilty of hacking Apple. The boy was able to hack through Apple’s system from his home in Melbourne. According the The Age Newspaper, the 16 years old boy stored documents in a folder he created and named it “Hacky Hack Hack. However Apple themselves has insisted that none of thier customers where affected by the hack incident, the Age Newspaper reported that the boy was able to access accounts of some customers.
A Statement Issued to BBC Technology by Apple Stated That; We vigilantly protect our networks and have dedicated teams of information security professionals that work to detect and respond to threats.
“In this case, our teams discovered the unauthorised access, contained it, and reported the incident to law enforcement. “We regard the data security of our users as one of our greatest responsibilities and want to assure our customers that at no point during this incident was their personal data compromised.”
Furthermore Apple Inc contacted the U.S FBI on the case and the FBI contacted The Australian Federal Police (AFP). The Australian Federal Police raided the home of the boy and saw two laptops he used to access the systems. He was caught boasting about his act on WhatsApp. The boy is a huge fan of Apple and its product and he is a well known Hacker in the Hackers International Community.
The case is due for hearing in court on September 20.
